Apparitions and I’m feeling like somebody else Standing on the outside like I’m looking for myself Keep my mouth shut. Am I better off? I’ve been dying to know Is he coming or is he a dream I can’t compel? Don’t worry about the scripture you can keep it to yourself Standing on the precipice and never letting go Keep it down keep it all never let it show Lock it up tight. Are they better off? Or am I failing them all? Is it my fault? is it something else I can’t control? Do you hear it all Or just my fear of loss? Is this the way we go Or just the way we fall? Is this the cornerstone of growing cynical and wise? Bitterness is spreading more than I can minimize I can push past, I can bear the fall I can balance it all I feel it coming like the sleep that I can’t get at night Is it worry or distress? It’s both and more You’re Forever. Changing shape, life and course You’re the point of chasing hope and risking all I know I want to be complete and the light you hold You don’t know me, but you know my heart What’s the way to flight, the second stars to right and the morning that we want? Or was it a misinterpretation about the loss of our creations we keep living out with misery and ghosts? Every loss every push on my patience Takes me closer to decaying I keep your name safely guarded and sacred There’s still hope here that you can make it

You know his name and the conscience I feign He was mine too Bring him back or bury his grave Do what you like to Erase and fade everything I can’t save Take my mind too Belief and faith drain my body and wade in a fight for fools Falling through the dark Broken hearts and shards I think I’m lying in my grave An open book of stars collapsing from the arc Always watching the light fade Can you create? Is he taking the long way home? Are you blind? Are you trying for cruel? You’re so quiet like always, though I’m not surprised If I don’t find him I’ll find you.

about

Wide Waters New York, New York

2023 is the year that Wide Waters takes their cinematic ambient landscape, and blends in pop style vocals for the first time.

Their forthcoming LP, Mountain Laurel, draws from their influences including The National, M83, Bon Iver, Radiohead and Coldplay. Moving away from Post Rock, Wide Waters finds themselves entering a more Indie Rock chapter, but still implementing cinematic flourishes.
